Beningborough Hall Case Study

Making Faces Galleries

A sound-guide is provided in these galleries for visually impaired visitors, with picture descriptions of all the key portraits and activity instructions for all activities that are accessible to visually impaired visitors. These were established during the formative evaluation, along with adapting proposed activities to increase accessibility - virtually all the activities are now accessible.

Portrait Explorer

Portrait Explorer gives people access to the full NPG collection as well as portrait related reading material.

Portrait Explorer

Using the Portrait Explorer, visitors can find information about all the National Portrait Gallery's portraits, including the facility to enlarge the images to look in close-up.
